Running: The Santas Hopes

Sixteenth annual Running of the Santas festival is set to take place on 7th December, Saturday in Philadelphia, United States. Organizers of the event are expecting to receive a record breaking ten thousand participants this time.

Organizer Matt McDermott told that if you do not come dressed up you are going to stick out. He added that most people get dressed as Santa Claus, but there have also been Christmas trees, Mrs. Clauses as well as other holiday motifs last years.

What they do is begin the party over on 3rd and Spring Garden, there are some bars there. At 4 o’clock, Santas gather on the corner of third and Spring Garden and parade to sixth and Willow. It is around five blocks. And after that when you get to Electric Factory, there are huge heated tents. Matt told that host a festival for the remainder of the day.

Meanwhile, Frankston athletes went to Knox track earlier on Saturday for the 4th Round Athletic Victoria Summer Shield Competition. In men's U16 200 meter, Jackson Miller Gage was 1st and Ben Closter was 2nd, while in U14 Max Pilley was 2nd. In U14 of women, Georgina Torey was in 2nd spot. In three thousand meter events, Kiera Geddes, Henrietta Lawrence and John Dutton were all in 1st position at their respective age group.
